On the last Sunday in June the great Lobster Festival is held in A Guarda, Pontevedra as this coastal town enjoy regional shellfish in a party atmosphere where all the local people take part. The popular menu including half a lobster, Rosal wine and a “roscón de yema” (typical local cake made with egg yolks). All this backed up by music and song provided by local groups and brass bands. The day before, a huge roscón is prepared in the port.
