From the 8th to the 31st December, the most characteristic festure of Christmas in the town of Jerez is La Zambombá drum festival, which consists of Christmas get togethers where they sing Christmas carols, mainly in flamenco style, in the communal patios and flamenco clubs, accompanied by instruments like the zambomba drum or the tambourine while they enjoy the typical Christmas cakes like doughnuts and honey-buns.
