A new decade
The latest developments of national and
international dance.
25 April to 4th May
This year Dansa València will be
celebrated of the 25 of April to the 4 of May in Valencia.
Nine venues for the presentations.
Theatres Talía and L'Altre Espai, of
Teatres of the Generalitat in this occasion, the Corral of the Olivera,
Theater Circle and the Grancielo Theater.
A programming of companies that, with
their work of artistic investigation, contribute to the vitality of the
national choreographic creation.
Twenty-two companies of very diverse
origin will fill the nine theatre in a total of forty and six
exhibitions.
The Valencian profession is represented
by five companies, ten single of coreógrafos and the presence in
addition to dancers and coreógrafos that reside habitually abroad like
Clear Barberá, of Rambert Dance Company, Maite Cebrián, of the Ballet of
the Opera of Lyon, Rodrigo Davis, of the company L'Adret, or Gustavo
Ramirez, of Titoyaya Project, among others.
The Nederlans Dans Theater II founded
by Jiri Kylian, will inaugurate the Festival, and the Ballet of Víctor
Ullate will close it without before not to have dedicated the Prize to
him Dansa València to another one of the great teachers of the
world-wide dance, Mats Ek, that will try to be with us to gather its
award.
For the celebration of the Day the
International of the Dance we will have the opportunity to see another
one of the young companies that are working for the future of the dance,
the Ballet d´Europe, directed by Jean Charles Gil. Also they will be
some of the Spanish coreógrafos that more sense of expectancy they
generate, like Rafael Bonachela or Carmen Werner.
