D'ART CONTEMPORANI DE CASTELLÓ" CASTELLÓ DE LA PLANA/CASTELLÓN 1 February - 27 April 2008 World recipes in Castellón John Knight presents Cold Cuts, an exhibit specially designed for the Castellón Contemporary Art Space / Espai d´Art Contemporani de Castelló (EACC). A direct reference to restaurant menus and the contribution of American gastronomy to world cooking, the exhibit is open until April 27th. Cold Cuts is John Knight's special proposal inviting visitors to get a better knowledge of different traditional foods from around the world. The EACC hosts this exhibit with direct references to different world restaurant menus and the special publication of a book. Knight takes the recipes out of their original contexts and brings them to the EACC in order to let visitors know the exotic taste of different recipes made worldwide, while leaving room for the characteristic social dimension of his work. On this particular occasion, Knight explores the subordinate relationship that binds the poorest, underdeveloped "exotic" cultures with dominant ones. The EACC opens its doors to the thought of this singular, unclassifiable thinker.
