Carnival. Carnivals in Spain. 18th: Fireworks to announce the start of the carnival, 10 a.m. Opening ceremony of the carnival, 1 p.m. 19th: Children's and youth carnival in the Paseo del Cisne. Live performance by the kindergarden and school children.
Tea for the children. 20th: Recognition of the "Murgas" and "comparsas" carnival groups as well as the masks of all times at the Alhama Town Hall. 25th: Sunday of Piņata. Fireworks on the first day of Lent, 10 a.m. The carnival groups of Murgas and Comparsas who are going to perform in the Paseo del Cisne sign up at the Town Hall at 11a.m. Live performance in the Paseo del Cisne of all the carnival groups of "murgas" and "comparsas" both local and visitors at 4 p.m.
