The 7th Xàbia Folk festival
this year features as it's theme Nordic
beats.
This beautiful coastal resort will be
the stage for some of the worlds best folk singer's and musicians.
Oskorri, one of the Basque Country's most emblematic folk bands.
Luétiga, El Pont d'Arcalís and
Les Violines will be performing alongside local folk group La
Romántica del Saladar.
26th April Portuguese dance workshop in the grounds of the Colegio
Graüll, and "Portuguese Night" and a performance from the
No Mazurka Band.
Sunday 27th April, at 12 noon,
Xarop de Canya
will be performing their children's
show "Terrabastall".
The second part of the festival opens with a parade from the
Folkifesta group on Thursday 1st May, making the most of the
traditional Cruces de mayo or "May crosses" floral tributes that will
have been set up.
All performances are free of charge.
