Trade
fairs go well in Spain. Spain has an outstanding position on the
international trade show panorama, amongst Europe's top countries.
Its excellent trade fair infrastructure, which is undergoing
constant expansion and improvement, confirms the importance gained
over recent years, placing Spain at the forefront of the sector.
More
than 400 trade fairs every year, almost 16 million visitors, and a
total exhibition area of over four million square metres: these are
the figures that reflect Spain's excellent situation in the world of
trade fairs. Quality, efficiency and professionalism are some of the
factors behind the constant growth seen in this sector in Spain over
recent years. Hence it is no surprise that every season there are

Proof
of this positive tendency is the fact that the majority of Spain's
exhibition centres are involved in major renovation projects, aiming
to improve their infrastructure and increase their floor area. This
is the case, for example, of the Barcelona Fira: when its extension
works are completed in 2009, it will have become the second largest
centre in Europe. This is also the case of the Madrid IFEMA
Exhibition Centre, Spain's first trade fair venue. It is to
strengthen its international position with the construction of new
pavilions which are forecast to come into service in the first
quarter of 2007
Nevertheless, the facilities in Madrid and Barcelona are not the
only ones you will find. All over Spain, on the coast and inland,
you will find some 500 modern centres equipped with the latest
technology. They constitute a varied range of options for the
celebration of all kinds of professional shows. Cities like
Valencia, Zaragoza, Bilbao and Seville habitually host events and

market.
