Situated in the centre of Seville, very close to La Campana, Teatro Imperial is an old cinema converted into a theatre after the decline of cinema at the end of the 70's. The playhouse maintains the flavour of old theatres, seats, decorations, and above all plays that it stages. The programming is dedicated for a large part of the year to musicals, 'zarzuelas' (traditional Spanish opera), operettas, and concerts by well-known and popular singers. One of the best things about this theatre is its location. Forming part of the heart of the city, from here you can easily get to Sierpes Street, Plaza Nueva, Plaza de San Francisco, the Ayuntamiento, or Iglesia del Salvador. Nearby you can find bars, shops of all types, banks and above all the Plaza del Salvador, a great place to meet and have a beer in the evening. Ticket office hours: 10a-2p & 6p-9p.
