SICAB focuses on the Purebred Spanish Horse,
and it brings together larger numbers of this breed than any other horse
fair in the world. In addition to the commercial side, this event
includes a full programme of parallel activities, such as show jumping
competitions, carriage driving, classical and country dressage, the
national livestock breeders' championship, an equine conference, and a

There is no other fair dedicated to one single breed that attracts so many specimens. The activities are the Morphologic Championship of Spain, the ANCCE Cup for Classical Dressage, the ANCCE Cup for Cowboy style dressage, and a show at night. It is the most important single-theme trade fair in the entire world. No other fair is dedicated exclusively to only one breed and able to attract such a large number of horses. Annually, the event is held during the third weekend in November. But a series of complementary activities are included within its makeup, that offer one a representative sample of the characteristics for which this horse has been admired throughout History. These activities are the Championship of the Spanish Conformational Competitions, the ANCCE Cup for Dressage, the ANCCE Cup for Doma Vaquera and the Evening Performance. Finally, technical days focusing on specific topics are also organized; these are aimed at both fans and veterinary specialists. |
