What happens at the Rocket Festival
We're busy booking a fantastic array of bands, DJs, circus performers, 3D-artists and all other sorts of weird and wonderful entertainment for you in Spain that you would expect at the Rocket in 2008 and a whole lot more that you wouldn't.
The Rocket Festival is a celebration of life and alternative culture. A meeting of minds for fun and music in a beautiful, rural and sun drenched site.
ROCKET FESTIVAL 16th - 18th May 2008
The third edition of the fabulous rocket will take place near Granada, Spain over the third weekend of May (16th - 18th) 2008
With the experience of two previous festivals in mind the Rocket Festival 2008 will be way, way, WAY the best ever! We've been considering carefully all your comments from the contact page so keep the suggestions coming in for artists or other attractions you'd like to see. ROCKET FESTIVAL


The Rocket Festival crew are heading to the streets of Andalucía this weekend. Look out for a carnival float decorated in the characteristic Rocket style, the unmistakable sound and colour of the Innerfield soundsystem and a possee of zany characters enjoying the spring sunshine with some top tunes.
The Rocket float starts its journey in Granada at Paseo del Salon at 14:30 on Thursday. From there the jamboree will make it's way around the city centre during Granada's lazy lunch hours. Head down and join in the party!
On Thursday night from 22:00 party in Sala El Tren, in Granada featuring up-tempo carribean sounds from Leroy Onestone and Wadada Sound System. Eat Prunes and the Lux Collective, fully recovered from a kicking Dragon festival will be giving us a taster of their new show, and Etklase + Loona, and Yoi bring some funky rhythms to get you dancing.
El Tren's famous after hours club continues in Rocket style with DJs Vikbass, Moa & Lazza from the Spin Buho massive in Madrid with locals McMactisse & dKila. Vivacious visuals are provided by Missplunket and lush decor from Turbozones Isabel.
Advance tickets are available for a vey reasonable 6€ from Minimal Stock, Discos Krisis, megalmusic, Jardines, Audiomatica and Sala El Tren.
Tickets on the door 8€, free beer before 23:00
On Friday the fantastic float dispenses big wads of luscious beats to the small towns around Alhama de Granada - it's not every day a 26 ton truck laden with jet-engine bass bins, super tall cowgirls and jets of flames pass through the sleepy pueblos - it will be an unmissable treat to be sure!

On Saturday night it's the turn of Málaga to benefit from the Rocket Truck's irrepressible presence at Plaza de la Merced at 23:00
