Carnival. Called the Carnival of light, this explosion of colour starts with a chance to try different dishes all made with cockles as the main ingredient. A few days after you can enjoy the opening ceremony and the offical start of the carnival, the crowning of the carnival queens and the competition of different carnival groups. It ends with the traditional burial of the sardine, different fancy dress dances and the parade that takes the carnival into every corner of this fishing village.
