The original Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
The original Liverpool Philharmonic Hall  was opened in 1849 was destroyed by fire in 1933 this was a great pity as The Times correspondent reported that it was "one of the finest and best adapted to music that I ever entered".
After the fire a new building was constructed on the site in Hope Street, Liverpool which opened in 1939.
The modern Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is the home of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society and is a Grade II* listed building.
