If you are a fan of Nativity Scenes then here you have representation of the Nativity with real people. And if what you like are old things then here you have an exhibition of old Christmas cards. But if you want something even older there is also the Mediaeval Market. Enjoy a Christmas for all tastes in Peñíscola.

Tumblers, dancers, musicians and loads of crafts stands make up one of the most complete, fun and lively markets in the Region of Valencia. On 30th and 31st December and the 1st January the old quarter goes back to mediaeval times and offers visitors the best of the Middle Ages.

But if you like Nativity Scenes then don't miss out on the representation of the Nativity with real people in Peñíscola on 29th and 30th December and 1st to 6th January. The shows take place every day at 6pm in an incomparable setting: the castle gardens.

And as if this is not enough then you can see an exhibition of old Christmas cards in the Casa del Agua from 29th December to 1st January. Come and get to know the city of our ancestors; it's Christmas!

Medieval Christmas at Peñíscola

Bid farewell to 2008 at Peñíscola, with the 13th Medieval Market running from December 29th until the 31st, and spend the last weekend of the year surrounded by medieval acrobats, artisans, witches and magicians.

Peñíscola bids farewell to the year 2008 with its traditional Medieval Market. Old town Peñíscola becomes a huge medieval shopping arena where more than 40 artisans sell their traditional products. Visitors have from December 29th until the 31st to enjoy plenty of street performances and thematic workshops.

Peñíscola's Christmas program includes activities for the whole family, and its Medieval Market is a sure bet for those wishing to have a different Christmas celebration. The decorated Christmas stalls offer a wide variety of products, from traditional gastronomy items to ceramics or glass to carved wood.

In addition, different street performances and shows take place during the holidays, with actors, musicians, acrobats and jugglers filling the streets with magic. Visitors can also take part in different arts and crafts workshops.
