Another remarkable Christmas tradition are the ' Masses of the Gozos', which begin the 13th of December and they finish on Christmas Eve. These masses are celebrated at six in the morning. In the evening the bores leave, groups of men who go from house to house singing or praying according to the will of the owner. The 24th they meet for the mass and the priest does a `convidá ' to the participants. The Day of the Innocents, the 28th of December, the group of the bores, with the faces painted, becomes the authority of the town and impose humoristic penalties. Tourist Office:
