Festival in honour of Our Lady of Anguish. The local devotion to Our Lady of Anguish dates back to the seventeenth century, since 1906 she has been one of the Patronesses of Guadix. The traditon has continued to date and there is a procession of the image of the Virgin Mary through the streets of our town on the second Sunday in November from the Cathedral to the church where her image is kept. Before the procession on the first Sunday of November, the image is taken from the church to the Cathedral
