Alicante (Alacant) Alicante’s Modernista-style market has all kinds of delicious fresh produce, and pretty flower stalls.   2. Santa Pola Santa Pola holds a huge outdoor market on Saturdays, with everything from local produce to clothes and shoes. 3. Calp (Calpe) Calp’s fast and furious fish auction is held from 5pm Monday to Friday, and features the latest technology. 4. La Vila Joiosa (Villajoyosa) A colourful market with lots of art and antiques takes place in the old town on Sunday mornings. 5. Xàtiva (Játiva) A delightful, sprawling street market, with everything from food to socks, takes place in the old town. 6. Altea An art market is held every evening during summer in the Plaza Iglesia at the top of the old village. 7. Benidorm A big market is held every Wednesday in Benidorm, with lots of fresh food, as well as clothes and souvenirs. 8. Elx (Elche) Famous for its palm grove Elx holds its weekly market on Mondays. 9. Gata de Gorgos This market features local crafts (particularly wicker furniture ) as well as food stalls. 10.
