Bassist bandleader Roger Eames
plays a Yamaha amplified string bass, with Christine on keyboards, Gill
on saxes and Mike on drums. Mike also sings jazz standards in a Mel
Torme/Chet Baker style. The band can augment to a seven-piece with an
added trumpet, clarinet and trombone. This was the only non-Spanish band
to be invited to the Los Alcazares jazz festival last year and has been
invited back again. As a trio, Jazz Greats plays Monday nights in the
"El Pescadito", Mil Palmeras, and on Fridays at "El Puente" in Santiago
de la Ribera. They are due to record a CD, to be available early summer.
