VIERNES 01 DE FEBRERO

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 01
17:30 h: Fiesta de Animación y Disfraces dirigida al público más joven de la ciudad con el fin de promover el resto de actividades del fin de semana, y hacer participar al público en general.

17:30 pm: Festival of Animation and Costumes addressed to the younger audience in the city to promote the rest of the weekend activities, and involve the general public.

Lugar: Este acto se celebrará en la Plaza Mayor de Castellón y zona peatonal próxima.

22:00 h: Espectáculo de recepción del CARNESTOLTES 2008 en la Plaza del Mar, desfile, acto de lectura de la CRIDÀ DEL CARNESTOLTES 2008, acto de recepción oficial de las autoridades al Carnestoltes (entrega simbólica de la VARA DE MANDO) en la Tenencia Alcaldía del Grao, y actividades de animación por las calles del Grao para engrandecer y dar vistosidad al acto por las calles y en la carpa de fiestas (Ubicada en la Plaza Tripulants de la Paca).

22:00 pm: Spectacle reception CARNESTOLTES 2008 at the Plaza del Mar, parade, the act of reading CRIDÀ OF CARNESTOLTES 2008, act of official reception by the authorities to Carnestoltes

20:00 h : GRAN DESFILE DE CARNAVAL Recorrido: Calles Canalejas, Gravina, Sebastián Elcano y San Pedro (en estas calles se acotará un circuito del desfile) Finalización en calle Canarias.

20:00 pm: GREAT CARNIVAL Course: Streets Canalejas, Gravina, Sebastian Elcano and San Pedro (in these streets acotará a circuit of the parade) Completion street in the Canaries.

CUALQUIER PERSONA O GRUPO DISFRAZADO PUEDE PARTICIPAR EN EL DESFILE SIN NECESIDAD DE INSCRIBIRSE ANTES (Punto de inicio del desfile: Calle Churruca frente Iglesia San Pedro).

ANY PERSON OR GROUP DISFRAZADO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE NO NEED TO REGISTER BEFORE (Starting point for the parade: Churruca Street opposite St. Peter's Church).

Este año se ponen a disposición de la población en general dos carrozas, una para niños y niñas de 4 a 10 años y otra para gente mayor.

19:00 h: VELATORIO DE LA SARDINA en la carpa de fiestas, entrega del premio a la mejor viuda o viudo (en este concurso se valora tanto el disfraz como la puesta en escena del duelo a la sardina), DESFILE de viudas y Entierro de la sardina.
