BMW World Finals
24 - 25 November
Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia
The Formula BMW World Final comes to Valencia. The Ricardo Tormo Circuit is ready to host the third edition of this spectacular event. Motor sports fans will see their favourite Formula BMW drivers compete for a spot at the top and get the opportunity to drive an F1 car with the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

BMW recently launched its new single-seater in Valencia. As BMW Motorsport's director Mario Theissen recently said, Cheste has become a very special circuit for drivers and sponsors alike, thanks to the circuit's very close relationship with the event following last year's success.

As has been the case in previous years, the program includes additional events. Fans can visit the exhibit showcasing BMW's WTCC competition model, as well as the BMW Z4 M Coupé and the BMW V12 LMR or the M3 GTR. BMW drivers Nick Heidfield y Sebastian Vettel will participate at the event, displaying their spectacular driving abilities.

If you'd like to know who this year's world champion is, do not miss the
Formula BMW World Final at Cheste and enjoy the shows and interactive games that await you there.

Formula BMW
World Final 2007
Team/ Competitor Information 01/ 2007
The venue and date for the Formula BMW World Final 2007 have been
confirmed. The high point of the season for the four international Formula
BMW series will take place at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo
Tormo in Valencia, Spain from 22nd – 25th November. The event will see the
worldwide leading Formula BMW drivers battling it out for overall victory – and
a prize which would be a dream of every up-and-coming young racing driver: a
Formula One test with the BMW Sauber F1 Team.
This will be the second year in succession that the circuit on Spain’s
Mediterranean coast has hosted the spectacular climax to the Formula BMW
season. “The Formula BMW World Final 2006 in Valencia was a big success,”
recalls BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. “The drivers, teams, partners
and sponsors were really excited about the event, so we are delighted to be
returning to Spain this year. Valencia is a very special place for us, somewhere
we always like to go back to. The Team Launch for the BMW Sauber F1 Team
took place there at the start of the year, as has Formula One testing. Plus,
Valencia is home to the Formula BMW Racing Center, hosts World Touring
Car Championship races and formed the backdrop for this year’s America’s
Cup. The Spanish city has become something of a second home for us.”
Like Marco Holzer (GER) in 2006, last year’s winner Christian Vietoris (GER)
will be given the opportunity by the BMW Sauber F1 Team to test one of their
Formula One cars on the Thursday before the Formula BMW World Final. As
Theissen explains: “Christian has earned this test fair and square. Last year he
not only claimed overall victory in Formula BMW Germany, but also fought off
the challenge of the 35 best international Formula BMW drivers to win the
World Final in impressive style. We are extremely proud to say that Christian is
already the fifth Formula BMW graduate to have been given his first Formula
One experience by the team.”
This year’s World Final will once again be complemented by an attractive
support programme. The successful BMW cars from the brand’s multi-category
motor sport line-up – such as the BMW 320si WTCC competing in the World
Touring Car Championship and the spectacular BMW Z4 M Coupé – will be on
show at the track alongside racing legends like the BMW V12 LMR and BMW
M3 GTR. Added to which, the BMW Sauber F1 Team – and its BMW Sauber
F1.07 car – will play an active part in the weekend beyond Vietoris’ test.
Further information will be distributed soon.

Vietoris Excited About BMW Sauber Test
Christian Vietoris has admitted he is incredibly excited about his forthcoming opportunity to test the BMW F1 car in Valencia.

The 18 year old is getting this opportunity thanks to winning the 2006 BMW World Final event. He will drive the F1.07 at this years 2007 BMW World Final event.

“Everyone tells me the that the brakes are extremely powerful and the g-forces,” said Vietoris.

“I try to imagine the circuit much faster than I’ve actually experienced it so far. This way I can at least prepare as much as possible.”

It will be a good opportunity for the talented youngster to prove himself; also useful on the account that BMW Sauber are hunting for a new test driver. Could Vietoris be the man?
