The exhibition site occupies the waterfront opposite the Sa Llotja area of Palma. Convenient for bus routes, taxis, and private car (park underground at the cathedral. The 26th Palma International Boat Show launches a new era this year by introducing changes to bring it to the standard of other major shows such as Southampton, Genoa, or Cannes. This major exhibition showcases the Mallorca recreational boating industry and will feature up to 1500 boats of all types and sizes, as well as exhibitors representing every sector of this important industry.
This year sees a significant increase in the show area, to 30 000m2 on land and 45 000m2 on the water, and pontooons will be doubled in width to 5 metres, making it possible to exhibit longer boats of superyacht status.
The exhibition will be open from 10:00 to 22:00 with an entry fee of 6 Euros, reduced to 5 Euros for youngsters

Domingo de Veleras is a pilgrimage from Montoro to the shrine of one of its two patron saints, La Virgen de la Fuensanta.
The shrine is 8km away in the Cocormé Valley, on the site where the Virgin appeared to a cow herder around 400 years ago.
It is customary to drink from a nearby spring, rumoured to contain the Virgin's urine. (and they drink it!!)  They say it cures all ailments.

The small Andalusian village of Gaucín celebrates Easter Sunday with a bull-run, the Toro de Cuerda. Organisers release one bull in the morning and another in the afternoon.

Moros y Cristianos de Alcoy

Nowhere is the re-enactment of the Moros y Cristianos festivity as spectacular as in Alcoi.It commemorates events that took place in the XIII Century, in the times of Jaime I the Conqueror, when the city was attacked by troops led by the Moorish captain, Al-Azraq. According to the legend, St. George appeared on horseback and came to the aid of the city. To show their gratitude, the townspeople promised to build a church in his honour, and to hold annual festivities. In Alcoi this spectacle is declared an International Tourist Interest.

The April Fair is one of the most international and popular of Seville’s fiestas. It was created in 1847 as a cattle fair, and over time the festive atmosphere that had grown up around the occasion took over the business aspect, and it became a permanent fixture in Seville’s social calendar. For a week more than a thousand “casetas” or tents installed in the fairground area become the second home of the city’s inhabitants, a place where people come together to have fun and share experiences until the early hours of the morning.

Battle of the Flowers
At the beginning of May most of Spain, every town and village has another party, this time the excuse is spring flowers. They give it a name and have a festival 'May Crosses'
Street parades, of course, bands, of course and plenty of cerveza. Whole communities decorate their houses with flowers and carry large crosses decorated with flowers. A street parade called "the Battle of the Flowers" in which floats decorated with flowers are driven though the cities and villages  to welcome the coming of spring.  The best part of any of these paraded is watching the Spanish  especially the guys and lasses in the bands which only have a loose association with music ( maybe it's the drink!).
